IIRC, it's like 5-600 bucks for the bumper pod setup. Plus paint.

FYI - Rallylights.com has a special on FF1000's at the moment. Complete kit (two lamps) for $89.

Damn, really. I was pricing out lights last month and didn't notice it. Anyway that deal is what made me choose the FF1000 over the Rally 3000 compacts.

I am thinking about scrapping the ff500's for another pair of ff1000's. I need to see if my light bar will accept the larger lamps on the ends.... 4 100w ff1000's would be killer!

400W=30A@13.5V. The alt is a 70A alt. But it's 70A@6kRPM. Output drops with RPM. I know at idle, if I have the lows, highs, and 55W FF1000s on and then honk the horn (16A load), it almost stalls the car and the lights go dim. Above 3k RPM, I don't get any fluctuation. I'd love to know how much load the alt will actually support at a 2-3k cruise.

You'd need a volt/amp meter in the car. Do you have a low bulb and high bulb, or are the highs/lows all in one bulb like the bugeyes?

I dont have any of the problems mentioned with 4 FF500 55W and 2 FF1000 100W Hellas, along with my fogs everyting works fine no engine stumble at idle.

Blobeyes have two separate bulbs and reflectors for high and low.

But that's not what I'm asking. I don't want to know how many total amps the system is consuming. I want to know the maximum current output of the alternator at different RPM. Right now, we know it makes 70A@6000 RPM because that's it's rated ampacity. How many amps can it make at 1kRPM? 2kRPM? 3kRPM... etc.

Heres the light bar I made up a couple weekends ago. It turned out a little lower than I would like. FF1000 driving lights and 500 fogs.

Dude, I bought my 1000s at that price about 4-5 months ago and they'd been that price for the 6-9 months I'd been eyeing them before that.

I got a ff1000 pair a year ago and they were that price, and every time I pop into the site they remain at that price. It is an excellent price, but I couldn't get them to fit on my bugeye with the Hella bracket. They just wouldn't fit into the opening correctly. Too bad, b/c they were BRIGHT!

Today my Paranoid Fabrications light bar arrived, Shane modified this one for me so it would hold 4 Hella FF1000's. I didn't get a chance to wire it up yet as I have a concert to shoot tonight. BIG thanks to Shane at Paranoid for the awesome bar!!!
Now on to the pics.

also to set the record straight, mine were also $89 a PAIR with harness

Alright, this may or may not have already been answered, but I can't find the info for the life of me..

My wife has a 2007 2.5i. For Christmas, my mom is buying her the OEM foglight surrounds from "www.subarugenuineparts.com." Now, I can get a sweet deal on some PIAA's, but am wondering what the Diameter of those OEM surround holes is. Does anyone have any idea? Or, maybe an owner of a 2007 would be kind enough to measure theirs for me??

Thanks in advance for any help

I think its 3"..do a quick search for "ghetto intake" and find the diameter of the required rubber coupling
