As soon as I find a metal fabricator that can make a box to house the HID ballasts and another to house the custom relay and fuse box it should happen pretty quickly. I have all the parts now. I just need someone with sheetmetal experience to help me out. RR ![]()

Ok, the Rally Innovations Skid guard is next on my list for my new RS....However I have one question, how is the bouncing, if any, with the lights mounted to it? I looked through here for a while and havent seen anything about it...and my eyes have started to water
. Anyone got any info about this? Thanks.I ahve seen plenty of testomonials saying it pretty much rocks, so Im not worried that much considering its made it onto some rally cars, but I was just curious anyway. |

It is very minimal. I can barely detect any bouncing/movement whatsoever. If your really worried about it, you could probably bend up some additional brackets to secure it to the licence plate bolts, however I have not seen a need to do so with mine.
Also, for those interested in HIR bulbs, http://www.offroadtuff.com/IPFbulbs.htm has H3!!! (but they are much longer than normal H3's, so fitment may be an issue). |

I'm trying to wire my FF1000s on my '05 wagon. I want them to come on with my high beams. I know, I know - the ground is switched on the Subarus. I've read through many threads and am still confused. I figured this is the place to come to for help.
Rallylights.com has this to say: "Note – the control circuit assumes a conventionally wired OE headlamp system. That is, the +12V is switched to the high and low beams. Note that in some Japanese cars, the GROUND is switched instead. In that case, you would apply battery to pin 85 of the relay and the high or low beam circuit to the other side of the on/off switch." As far as I can tell in the relay (which came with the Hella lamps) I would move the ground to pin 30 and the switch from the high beams to pin 87 while moving the connection from the battery to 85 and the lamps to 86. Does this sound correct? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I promise pictures when things are working! |

thats what i did on my 03, you have to switch the pins around on the relay but it's been so long i cant remember, i'd go look but it's pouring outside right now, just use a test light, that's what we did
hope this helps, but i doubt it will ![]() |

Does anyone think that hanging a set of Optilux 1200 fogs off the bottom of my bar be too high for fogs? Or would it be ok as long as I aimed them properly?

Has anyone mounted these in the OEM fog light position on bugeye?
I'm interested in upgrading my 500 fogs to the 3000 compact fogs. |

Even with the stone shields (stock wattage bulbs and everything too). They work perfectly fine still, just with cracks across the middle. I'm just waiting for them to have stone shields avaliable for the compact 3000s first. Otherwise, they look like they should mount up almost identically to the 500s. |

new to this site but have read all of all of this thread (took along time). I have a couple of questions. First I have a 94 Subaru SVX that was in a slight accident and I need to replace the front bumper cover. The OEM fog lights or placed too hight next to the headlight to be of any use in fog. I want to replace the front bumper cover with a bugeye cover from a 95-01 Impreza. I want to install fog lights in the new bumper cover. I had been condidering buying used OEM fog lights but reading this thread has convvinced me that I should buy some Hella or Piaa. I'm not sure how these would mount to the impreza cover or to the fraame of the SVX. One of the posts talked about buying retainers from a Japanes company. Would I need to buy the retainers if I went with OEM lights or with the aftermarket lights? Do the lghts attach to the bumper cover at all or are the lights pooking thru the cover and attached to the frame or other support? I believe they must attach someplace other than the cover to support the light so it doesn't vibrate. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
