Default STi wheels for my wagon

I am purchasing 04 STi Wheels w/tires from a fellow member for my 02 wagon. I know alot of other wagon owners have done this already. I wanted to get opinions on how the car will handle and ride differently. I am also looking into the Eibach pro-kit. Are any other wagon owner running this set up, if so opinions please.

Are you still on stock wheels and tires now? The ride will be a little harsher, but not much. The 070 is an amazing tire, your wagon will handle better than you thought it could. Lowering it will only make it more so.

I put STi wheels and tires on my 04 a few months ago and the difference is noticable. On the RE070's, though, the ride was terrible...botts dots in the road sounded like gunshots, things rattled and buzzed that I had never heard before. But the handling...my god those things could handle!!

I ended up pulling the RE070's off at the beginning of winter and putting on some PZero Nero M+S tires and the difference in ride (and sound) quality was dramatically better. The car rides at least as well (if not better) on the STi wheels w/ Pirellis' as it did before on RE92's, and the handling limits are much higher. Sure, the Pirelli's are quite a bit softer than the RE070's on turn in, but the trade off was well worth it for me. 90% of my driving is on the highway, so I really wanted some additional comfort with my sport.

The STi wheels, by the way, look incredible on the wagons! Great choice!

yes, Im riding on stockers now, so I expect a big change. Any pics of wagons sitting on BBS's, maybe some WRB wagons sitting on the STi wheels?

Oh, BTW, I'm picking up a professional fender rolling tool from eastwood to roll the fenders a bit. it bolts to the hub, and is a gradual rolling device...won't chip the paint. if you need it done, let me know. I should have it by april.

I hate the way the v7 rims look. The BBSs look so much better. I was considering the Legacey rims they have but the v7 wheels are just ugly, and no were near the quality.

No problem... I'm glad you like them! I don't have any rubbing issues now, but I might once I put on my STi takeoffs. I'll either solve the issue with 215's, or I may give you a call.

Sharp car, but those wheels on a wagon makes it a ringer for a Mazda 6 wagon.

Don't the '04 STi's have the 114mm bolt circle?

Yes. The '04 STi wheels will fit, the 05's will not.

i wouldnt knock the quality, they may just be ugly to you. IMO, v7 sti wheels are the best. just too bad they dont make em in any other color than gold. so i settled for UK 17s in silver instead.

Nope, only the 05 STi went to the new bolt pattern. All other Subarus still have 5X100
