Default 92 Legacy stalling

I got this in an email from a local guy who found my web site. Was wondering if you guys might have any idea how to help him.

I have a '92 Legacy Stn. Wgn. which is stalling out after about 1/2 mile of driving.* Pull over & wait for a few minutes, and it runs great.* Took it to a mechanic, who replaced the coil pack.* It still stalls out.*

Lightbulb Vacuum leak?

I have a 1993 Legacy. I haven't experienced same sort of stalling. I have small leak in a throttle body gasget and I think it makes the idling little not so smooth. If there is a bigger leak in the throttle body it may result as stalling. That'd be my guess.

Have you checked the fuel injection components. If there is vacuum leak it may also make it stall.

Has the car been in fuelled in the rain or something like that, if there is water in fuel system it can do the poblem as well.

Replaced spark plugs lately?
Fuel filter?

There are some vacuum hoses at the throttle body. any of them loose?

Throttle position sensor mal functioning?

Maybe the alternator doesn't recharge the battery sufficently, hmm...maybe not

My Subie automatically runs rich when started (higher rpm). I think most cars does this. Could the stalling occur when the ECM thinks the engine is ready for normal idling - doesn't inject as much fuel. Might have something to do with it.

Well just a guesses., hope somethings works out.
Might forgot something...
