Question What kind of paint to use for your interior

Hey people I was wondering, I want to spice up the interior of my rally blue RS, but I don't really want to pay for a carbon fiber dash kit nor do I want that color accent. I know this is alreay being talked about in another thread... so please excuse my being redundant. If I wanted to paint my dash parts my self what paint would you reccomend, and should I clear coat it? And do any of you out there have pics of your own home jobs that I could see? Thanks in advance.

Default Rustoleum!

I'm using the Cobalt Blue Metallic. It's a near rally-blue-pearl blue color with little metal flecks to make it glint in the sunlight. This paint finishes a bit rough, which I don't mind, but I have a friend using it and he adds a little clear coat, which dulls the sparkles a bit but adds the standard high-gloss finish you might prefer, especially on pieces that are supposed to be smooth plastic.

I know another friend using the Candy Apple Red color to do his trim, this finishes glossy and looks incredible in his Legacy.

I don't bother sanding or priming any of the surfaces I just paint. This leaves the paint job a bit fragile, especially in the first 24 hours. I don't recommend sanding, as it's hard to cover up any deep sand marks you might make. Priming might work, dunno though because I never tried.

Cool man. I checked out that paint and you're right, it looks like a pretty good match for rally blue. I think I'll give it a try
