Default Why are no-no parts naughty?

When did it become taboo to show off your genitals? Is there any reason why way way way back in time they were coverd up? I assume it was for protection back in the days of man hunting for all his food, but how come they became things that are looked at ass offensive and such?

cause its a status symbol and those with small ones would get offended.

This is also a reason why they make big trucks.

While we're on the subject, how come "swear" words are offensive as well?

'snork' could be just as bad as f,s,c,ah, etc.. why not?

Maybe I'm too toasted from finals to use my brain.

You can thank religion.

And America is definately one of the worst countries when it comes to the attitudes towards our bodies (save the mostly theocratic middle eastern nations). In a lot of other countries, nudity isn't such a big deal.

Not quite...The greeks had no problem with nudity or funky ass sexual phreekyness. It wasn't until the Victorian times, and then later the Rise of Christianity, that Educated Men decided that this was not proper of people to behave this way and that pron should only be viewed by educated people...like them.

Not seeing genitals makes them exciting them (the forbidden fruit as it were). If you see them everyday then there is nothing exciting about them. One of the arguments for a naturist family lifestyle is that it reduces or eliminates the desire in teens and young people to engage in sexual play to feed their curiosity. Naturist teens have a much lower rate of teen pregnancy than the general population.

Weird, I was thinking about this last night. Both the genitals thing and why the 7 certain words are seen as bad. Is it really any better to yell "shoot" than sh_ _ ? I mean you are really intending to say the latter, so why not just say it.

Which is why I do say it. "Cursing" is just part of my regular, everyday vernacular.

I always think of this one line from Robert B. Parker's "A Catskill Eagle"...

"Words have the power to hurt, you know."

Hawk: "Yeah, but not like a kick in the balls does."

Honestly, I don't want to see everybody nekkie. Ever watch Real Sex when they have the aging hippie segments? I'm glad they feel free with their sexuality and all, but I'd be happier if they'd just put their clothes back on.

And yes, I'm being facetious. Mostly.

I find the whole no-no parts are bad norm to be annoying. Im not saying id like to see everyone walking down the street naked, man thatd be ugly. But i dont think there is anything wrong with a little nudity on tv or in commercials. Thats just my opinion.

Where is the fun is having my junk flapping for all to see? I cherish the moments when I find a nice girl and take her out to dinner. We head back to her place for a movie. One thing leads to another and we end up fooling around on the living room floor and things start getting heated. Cloths begin to get pealed away. The look on her face when she realizes she is hooking up with a man with the aesthetic qualities of a 7 year old is priceless. I wouldn't give that up for anything.
