Exclamation Harness Bar Questions

I looked at a few other threads but found no real answer. I am looking for a harness bar for my RS. Anyone have luck finding one? I believe Jon Bogert was looking too.

What's best - Bolt to existing holes or drill you own? What do you look for?

Thanks,
MW

Just a little safety tip:

Using harnesses without a roll cage/bar is a bit of a hazard. With stock safetybelts, if the roof collapses during a rollover, you are allowed to slide towards the center of the car as the roof collapses.

With a harness, you obviously can't slide. If the roof collapses, the force of the impact goes straight onto your head/neck.

Having rolled a car before, perhaps I'm a bit hypersensitive to this possibility, but I just figured I'd point this out. It never occured to me until it was mentioned on another car board.

If you really want to stay in your seat better without the danger of a harness, get one of those autocross straps that go across your chest and around the seat. They will still let you slide towards the center.

If I were putting in a harness bar I would use existing bolt holes. I would use the same holes that the shoulder belts currently use. The metal surrounding them is obviously designed to take the load, and should be at a pretty safe height.

Hey. PM TeamSUBARU he's got one. If you've got a coupe it'll work, but the sedans B pillars are too far forward. He's even local so you could probably take a look at the Kirkland Wingdome tomorrow night.
