Default Scooby Rims wont fit MK4 VW

I have some RS 6 spokes laying around so I tried them on my 2004.5 Jetta GLi. The lug pattern is the same 5x100, the VW offset is 35, the suby offset 43, so thought I might need a lil spacer to make it work.

Well, the suby hub hole (big hole in the center) on the rims is slightly smaller than the VW hub. About a 1/16th smaller, so it wont go on. If the rim did go on there would have only been about 1-2mm clearence between the rim lip and the strut, probably would rub with any tire mounted up, so a large spacer would have been manditory.

There you go. I know so many of you were thinking about this Now the truth is out. You could make it work if you felt like grinding out rims and using large spacers, but to me its not worth it, too unstable. Anyone want to trade their 16" mk4 VW alloys for my 6spokes?

Stock Subaru 6-spokes have a an offset of 53, not 43. No wonder they would have been very close to the strut.
