I wouldn't worry about ceramic coating your headers. The ceramic coating is intended to keep the heat of the exhaust inside the headers and, thus, keep the engine compartment temperatures down. In a Subaru, where the headers are underneath the car, I imagine this isn't nearly as much of a concern.

Plus, if you really want to cool off your engine compartment, just open the vents in the hood.

In addition to reducing underhood exhaust temps, the main reason to coat headers on the Subes is to avoid potential CE light issues due to the front O2 sensor not being hot enough. A header will lose more heat than the stock stuff with all the heat shrouding. Underhood exhaust temps don't matter much to me, but CE lights do.

I'll be getting my MRT header done at www.airborncoatings.com - they have 3 branches around the country, perhaps one is close to you?
