Default Should I get headers?

I was thinking of upgrading my terrible stock exhaust.

Are headers worth the extra cash?

With all my mods..the only ones that i can honestly say i felt a difference with must be my intake and the exhuast(scoobysport) but i just added the Borla gen3 headers and they do add more power, and they sound great. I would say go for it unless you want to wait for the syms headers in the groupbuy forum.

I would buy the Borla header. They cost the same amount of money, they've gone through all the R&D, and they are stainless.

Oh, and it's singular. You buy headers for V8s and a header for a four cylinder.

i've heard that headers just make a nice sound, i was thinkin if you get the header, you must get a high flow cat.. that will definately show you some power

I kinda considered that, but since you're buying only one unit, I would have thought it would still be singular.

Oh well.

Unhappy hmmmmmmm

if there are 2, why not get dual exhaust?

sorry, i don't know much about cars

are headers (or a header) gonna kill my torque, because torque is all i really care about

MrMajestic,
I'd say go ahead and get them, you won't regret it. I've had mine on for about 3 months now and I love them. They do add power, dyno proven, not much, but it is noticable especially in the 2-4K range. The sound is Beautiful, nice deep burble. I get better gas mileage now too since the new found low end torque allows you to cruise as lower rpms without lugging it. Whatever it's worth.

Just got mine Borla headers put on yesterday and I think they were worth every penny. Performance increase was noticable and the sound....WOW. Sounds like a mini torque monster.

I'd say go ahead and get them. I just installed mine last Saturday, and I love em. The new sound they give is great. I feel a slight increase in pull throught the midrange also. I think they are well worth it.
