Default Any nasioc user end up being beta testers for the Access Tuner?

Like the title says, If you are one how do you like it, fill us in some? how easy is it to use? how much control do you have?

I bet there are, but they ain't allowed to say. They had to sign a non-disclosure statement. I signed up for the WRX, but never got the call. From what I heard/know, they are only using beta testers for the STi and FXT as they have enough locals + themselves to do WRX testing.

thats a bummer that they are keeping it on the DL, I guess they have some reasons but it is still dissapointing to me anyways. I am really trying to decide on which EM path to take, hopefully march rolls around fast and we arent told to wait once more. Does anyone know when they plan to start taking orders? I guess I should just email them.

About 2 months ago Trey told me he was preparing non-disclosure paperwork for me to sign and that the beta version would soon follow. He then had some major software problems and had to hire a few new engineers; change of gears, he said, the beta versions would be available for the STi and FXT, not the WRX. Oh, well. I had a tantrum.

They are NOT taking preorders, as a matter of fact they're not even selling them!! From what cobb told me a couple weeks (?) ago, this is going to be a distributor ONLY product. From the last call i made, they were beta testing and preparing for distribution march of 05.

that would be a poor, poor decision...as i am sure there are a LOT of people that would get the access tuner...

...depending on features, i would probably be one of them.

its the next best thing to a user-tunable flash.

I am guessing that they are doing things this was for the same reason as ecutek..

They don't want armchair tuners getting their hands on them, causing engine damage, and then giving the product a bad name. Seems to make sense given the conservative nature of almost everything they offer for the market as compared to other companies using the similar components.

I was also thinking that it might also be due to the nature of the ecu being able to be reflashed only so many times before needing replacement. If users were constantly changing and felashing the ecu themselves, the end might come sooner rather than later.

I think you guys are confused if you go research it there is two tuners coming out the street tuner and the pro tuner. With the tuners you can tune in real time so you would not need to reflash everytime you want to try something new. You should check out the accessecu.com site if you want to know more.

I think some people are also confused by the term distributor. Distributor-only refers to distributors selling the accesstuner to users (meaning Cobb won't directly ship and sell them to end users). This is most likely done so they aren't swamped with shipping. Instead, they can ship 20 at a time to a distributor, who then resells it to individual customers and ships it.

This site sells a truck load of Cobb products, they would be my first place to look.

Import venom hit it: Cobb wants to focus on engineering products, and making them better, not logistics.
