Default Sport activity lights?

Anyone buy these as an add on after they bought their baja? Just picked up an 03 and I'd like to get them, but I am wondering where the wiring runs that they plug into, and if they are easy to install....

The main harness runs along the inside of the pass. side roof rail and plugs in behind the 3rd brake light. The 04 comes with the switch holder already installed, the 03 as to be installed. The relay is different from 03 & 04,i found this out since i bought a kit for an 03 and installed it on an 04.The 03 kit is different from the others. You can install the harness without taking all that plastic off, pull the 3rd brake light and the roof panel screws then feed the harness thru there and slide it to the corner. Its not that hard.Good Luck

Or you could get a set of Hella 500s for about $75, follow their instructions, run the wires and relay and switch anyway you want.

I have done neither , but if I were to put up some lights it would be the Hellas.

I would have to go with $50 Piolets from Autozone or Orielly are go with a PIAA light

I live in North Buffalo, daily commute for work is to West Seneca. Myself, I have so far seen a red\grey Baja also in North Buffalo, and an all silver one in Depew; both non turbos. All I have seen so far.

I mounted 2 Baja off road lights directly to the front license plate frame, using the existing holes.. pics on my homepage. No need to drill into bumper.

Patrick - Do you have any experience with the Rallitek lightbar and its installation? I tried to get some info on it direct from them but they were not responsive to my question and I didn't want to waste $150 and not have it work right. I can't tell from the web how it mounts, etc.. So far, it is the only bar I have found that atually looks reasonable for mounting lights (don't like the one that has the wings off the licence plate bracket.

Default Lights work without E-brake

If you have the sport lights and want too use them like they should have been in the begining heres what you need too do.Pull the trim peices too get too the switch,if you have an 04 Turbo you'll be looking for a solid yellow wire. This wire sends a ground too the switch when the E-brake is pulled.Remove the wire and tape it up,then add a wire too the same place then ground the other end.If theres no yellow wire remove the switch and get a test light and connect it too 12v power pull up your E-brake and check each wire with the probe in the connector for a ground. When you find one grounded release the E-brake too see if you lose the ground, when you find the right one then remove it and add a ground to that spot.If you can't find a terminal too put in place, you could leave it in the connector and cut the wire tape up the other end and add a wire and go too ground.I don't like cutting wires so i got one from work.I found this out after pulling my console too check the E-brake switch out, there's only one wire going too the switch.I can't believe its that simple, should have done this along time ago.

i have been thinking of buying a good set of lights and mounting on the front of the hood, but i'm skeared! if i had the skill and materials i'd put down some fiberglass around it to make like the ones on the rally teams car. but i've never done it or have a clue what it would run. whatcha think?

it does sound like alot of work, but, it would look good. still considering just a simple bolt on without the fiberglassing. just not sure how it would look. i mean the wiring can easily be done, just don't know how it would look.
