Default Jeannie Mucklestone?

Hey guys,
I've heard a ton of good things about Jeannie, and I might be using her soon, but I'm just wondering if there is anyone out there with any cases that didn't go their way when using her. Just curious. I obviously don't expect her to win 100% of her cases, so I'm just curious what kind of cases people have had with her and why they lost.

Thanks

She recently fought a ticket for me and didn't completely win. She did get the fine reduced and got it changed to something that wouldn't show up as a traffic violation (not reported to the DOL or insurance company). Apparently the officer did everything correctly and there wasn't really anything she could do to get it completely thrown out.

Well thats all I'm really looking for really. I don't really care about the fine at this point. I'd just like to have it off my driving record. If she got rid of the fine that would be great. It sucks because I'm only a month away from completing the 12 month long probation period of a deferral. I'm such a dumbass. What was your infraction? Speeding I'm guessing? How fast over?

Just a quick question fo you guys, if you get a ticket and you try so hard to get rid of it, why were you doing what you were at the time of being pulled over? why cant you deal with it instead of making such a big fuss bout it? You mess up you pay the price.

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! I'm not letting the state take my money because I was going a little too fast on a road with no cars late at night, when I didn't even realize I was speeding. This thread was about Jeannie Muckleston, so if you don't have any info or experience with her then please don't respond. I don't need a lecture about owing up to my responsiblities. Besides that, you would have to be crazy not to contest a ticket, because even if you're still convicted you can probably still get the fine knocked down to a more reasonable price.

I'm using her right now... the first try at court didn't go our way. So my case has been "continued" to January. Apparently this will go on until some point to which the judge just gives up, or we reach some mutual agreement about the penalty. The thing with Jeannie in King County, is that you dont have to go to court, she goes for you... so I have no idea what happened. She communicates only via mail, so I'm kinda in the dark about the whole thing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

You can do that yourself and be lucky cuz in Oregan they are making it so you have to pay the fine, no less no more.

I'm using Jeanie right now as well. I got pegged for going 15 over in Ritzville (close to Spokane), the court date is on the 21st so I'll let you know how it goes.

And as far as paying the price for your actions, that's a load of crap. I have a bunch of BS tickets that I got before I knew well enough to get an attorney, and I'm just trying to make my insurance reasonable. List of stupid tickets (31 in a 25 down a hill, running a stop sign at 2 am after pulling out of a friends house 20 ft from the stop sign, illegal U turn at 3 am, 40 in a 30 at 12 am again down a hill, 75 in a 60 going west on I-90 after issaquah, I didn't notice that they changed the place where the speed reduces from 70 to 60) In all of these cases I was posing no danger to anyone else, I just wasn't paying attention or being lazy, and get picked up by your typical bored eastside cop, and as a result I'm a high risk driver, Never mind the fact that I've been driving for 8 years with no accidents. If I can fight this kind of crap then I'm going to, and I'll end up paying the price of an attorney instead of insurance.

Riosuba - had many tickets in your life? or you one of the lucky ones...

I drive at night(10pm -12am) coming home from the g/f's house at 80mph all the time. There is no one on the freeway and I mean no harm to anyone, i use caution, stay as far left as possible, pay 100% attention to the road, and i dispise cell phone users. I've driven this way my entire life and never have been in or caused an accident. Will i get caught speeding someday? probably..has my Passport 8500 saved my ass on more than 1 occasion? definetly. The best thing i did was buy a radar detector, it's my driving condom , don't leave home without it. The whole problem with the ticket thing is the insurance rates.

If i get caught speeding i would pay the fine and leave it at that, the problem is i don't want to pay $50+ a month for higher insurance rates over the next 3 years. I used Doug Silvia in renton(sorry don't have the contact info anymore) for my last case and he got it dropped in 30 seconds. Because of him i have no tickets on my record and my rates are $100/mo instead of $160/mo with a 1-10mph over ticket on my record. If the insurance companies didn't rape someone for a single infraction over 3 years i'm sure alot less people would fight their cases and the state would make more revenue.

no i have had three or four. First was for speeding in a construction. I proved the stater that i wasnt in the speed area she thought i was and I got it dropped. second i was in an unknown area and didnt know the speed limit following some car. found out i was doing ten over and we bother got tickets. third was a careless driving, passing too close and not using a turn signal and the forth was a speeding ticket 79 in a 50. I have only taken the one to court because i knew i wasnt wrong. Yeah i pay more cuz its my fault but its the price you pay for getting caught.
I can understand little stupid ones, ie 1-5 mph over, is a retarded ticket and i would contest and fight. If you know you werent doing what the officer said you were then prove them wrong but if you were being bad and you get caught its your fault.

Sometimes yes. When it's early in the morning and/or I've already been driving straight for a few hours, mistakes happen.

I agree that laws are laws, but if I can use a Lawyer and the law as she's able to see it to my advantage, then I'm going to try. Lawyers aren't exactly cheap and don't come with a gaurantee, so I'm still paying the price for my actions.

Pet Rescue? Seriously? I have to admit, that's one of the better alternatives.

There's a mountain of evidence that speed limits and enforcement very often aren't for safety purposes, so I say everyone fight them until the government becomes honest & objective.

sounds like a great deal to me, wish i had that option back in the day...save some pets that have horrible living situations and your ticket gets dropped...$150 now is nothing compared to what 3 years of insurance hikes woulda been.

Jeannie got my ticket dismissed. funny thing is I just got another one tonight. 36 in a 25 going downhill I thought the limit was 35. I came off a road that was 35 and turned left onto one that was 25.

Q? what if the ticket doesn't have a penalty amount on it or the a zip code for my address? Where's Nick when you need him?

I have had a top of the line Bel/Escort radar detector for the last 8 years and I haven't had a ticket in 8 years and I drive 10 to 15 over on the freeway all the time. I also keep my eyes open for unmarked cars. My new Passport SRX "shifts" laser.

Owning 2 vehicles that are fully insured, I would fight a speeding ticket in a heart beat. Its not the ticket, but the cost of insurance. They screw you for 3 years. Half the time cars like ours get "picked" out of the crowd just because. I had spoirts cars and got tickets all the time, then I bought trucks and didn't get any. I drove the same. So what gives?

Very true, I haven't had a ticket since I sold my my 99 GSX eclipse that was lowered and tinted and looked fast. I have been driving around an Outback wagon and a Forester since and I never even got looked at. Now we are finacially stable enough for another "fun" car and a few months ago I got my AWD turbo back with our WRX.
Well, yesterday morning leaving work (graveyard) I was on Highway 503 where the speed limit is 55, I was doing 67 passing the cars in the merging lane (onto 205) because they were all doing 50. There was an Econovan worktruck pacing behind me in the fast lane and I got a ticket from a cop on a bike with radar waiting for me to crest a hill, most likely because of the sporty hood scoop and snowboard racks. I wasn't being unsafe at all, a technicality really on a 4 lane highway with a median. It pisses me off because I thought that I would still be incognito in the wagon, I have been driving the same and passed cops in the Forester and Outback, but now in the WRX I have a ticket.
Anyways, I am getting an attorney if he doesn't file the ticket late. Anyone know of a good one in Clark County? I know that they can beat it, I think all the courts want is for you to pay someone, anyone, as long as they are a part of their system. Just the cost of living I guess.

By the way... Jeannie just called me from court today. She said that Ritzville County is the only county in the state offerring that Pet Rescue donation. She says it looks like I'm taking a deferral on this one...
