To all the 19 year olds out there who may have taken my first post as a slam against them...by the fact that you are in this forum, actually reading these posts you are more mature than the rest, also; you are not in the NA or the powertrain sections filling them up with question like...
Can I run 3.5" exhaust on my NA Impreza? or "where is the best place to get chrome 20"s that will fit my Impreza?" etc.
Ben, am I missing something here or did you say that you were not going to post any more B4 pics here, only RSKs, and yet the gold colored car you posted has B4 in the lower right hand corner of the grill opening. What is up with that?

Default Legacy by heart

I hear what all you are saying!!

When I heard that the Rex was coming I was a little scared. I knew that every wanna-be would be out there triing to race/rice the hell out of their Subaru. That scares me truthfully, I don't what everyone out there to be looking towards me as another punk Subaru owner. Like the Honda croud that is.

Am I ever glad you never saw a Subaru in the 'Fast and the Stupid'......that's the last type of advertising ploy I needed to see.

Towards the Legacy end, that's why I bought my GT and went down the modded road. Luxury and quality in terms of the RS, with all the performance to boot. Not to mention I love to prove the Legacy is a contender on the track: open or littered with cones...I'll show 'em.

Although sorry to say I might be going down the road....??? An S4 is somewhat calling my name. I am getting tired of the, 'Is that an RS? ...but the WRX... etc. Followed bt every idiot with a cone fiter too a 'broken' exhaust triing to race. Or a cop looking at the car thinking it's a Honda. I guess Audi just has a differnet outlook to the beholder......

I'm done ranting...who knows what will happen. But I've gotta say, drive your Legacies to the fullest and show they aren't 'grandma's grocery getter'. Prove to yourself to the RS, WRX, Hondah what the Legacy can do....on a closed course!!

OUT...-Matt

Wow.. 19 yr olds eh.. i am actually only 16 and i have this thing for Legacys.. dunno why... dun ask me why, but i love the Legacys. They are just so unique and has this class to it that the Impreza doesn't have.. You rarely see Legacy with outrageous body kits or tons of stickers on the car. And most of the Legacys are very tastefully done. Another thing is the sleeper effect of the Legacys, i just love it when a Legacy outperforms the Imprezas in autoXs. Most people expect the 2.5RS to perform good becoz its lightweight and agile and AWD, but no one would suspect a family hauler Legacy would be that fast. hehe

LEGACY RULES!

I guess I am one of those 20 year old idiots. Heck I didn't even know that Unorthodox in Unortohodox underdrive pulley was the brand name until SMASHPDX told me over at The Ultimate Subaru Message Board. But since I have been on both boards I have learned alot about Soobs and I am willing to learn hopefully one day I will have that specialist in my title but until then I just want to learn all I can. Like can someone tell me what each engine is like for example ej22 Ect.? Just wunno. I know my fare share about subarus. But I have a ways to go.

jeff

Oh here are my answers for the test:
1)Hell no!
2)Nope
3)I hate going in there period...
4)Subaru thru and thru.

gtguy- The stromung is great, but the rest of the car needs some work still. The bolts holding my corbeau seat in keep wiggling out and the seat slides around. The custom-made corbeau brackets for the legacy are NOT good quality at all. No rust on the stromung so far and I've been trying to keep it clean and polished. It looks great now that I've given up on the factory exhaust hangers and just hung it using wire.

Sounds cool, and I had heard horror stories about the Corbeau brackets (made by Wedge Engineering, I believe). Bummer that those tales have come to pass.

I have some stuff going into the WRX: DMS Golds w/STi top mounts, STi short shifter w/Kartboy bushings, Cobb already installed, 17" P1s w/Dunlop 9000s already installed, along with larger rear sway bar (20mm, to match the front). Goodridge stainless brake lines and an ITG air filter are en route, then I'm finished.

All go, no show, a carryover from my Legacy heritage, braking and handling upgrades preferred. The exhaust and air filter are simply for a little goose down low in the power band. I'll try to get some pics up once it's done, if anyone in Legacy land wants to see a tastefully executed WRX wagon.

If any Legacy folks want to scare themselves, have a look at the "Idiot" post in WRX Non-Technical. Scary stuff.

i've been getting a good chuckle reading some of the stuff coming out of the wrx forum lately, but was actually scared reading that thread. i'm glad for 2 things: that no one was physically hurt and that the driver realizes that he's a moron. when are people going to realize that driving a 3000+ lb. vehicle is something that should be taken seriously?

roger (and yes, i've done some stupid things in the past. but not anything like this)
