Default Pittsburghish area: beaver run track rental

this is just something that is trying to get set up for our area to get out on a roadcoarse and have a little fun. i dont know if an of you guys would be interested in doing this but im posting it here just in case.

What: East Coast Track Meet

For Who: Anybody and Everybody

Where: BeaveRun Motorsports Complex
201 Penndale Road
Wampum, PA 16157

When: June 2, 2005

Pricing: $200(+ 3% for paypal) for Drivers and Free admission for spectators/guests....

Click Link To Send Payments...Please include your real name, first and last, screen name and forum you saw this on.
https://www.paypal.com/xclick/...e=USD

Camping and Hotels are still in the works and information will be available as soon as we get everything else situated. Im hoping to get a group rate at the Holiday Inn that was host to the previous ITR Expo's seeing how it is really the closest decent hotel to the area.

For those of you who dont know this track has been the site for previous two ITR Expo's. It is located a about 40 minutes NW of Pittsburgh, PA. All track information is available on their site...www.beaverun.com....

We are asking that everybody pay in full so that we can get the deposit....the deposit due date right now is set for Dec. 31st as best as we know, although we havent gotten contracts yet so it maybe extended...if we do not get the deposit in time, the event will be cancelled and money will be refunded. We are asking that you pay at least half of the $200 as a deposit for your spot. Those who pay in full will get a FREE Tshirt of the event when they arrive at the event. Tshirt designs are in the works at the moment so I do not have any pics of those to show you but we do have a very qualified individual working on them.

If you have any questions feel free to email me: [email protected]
or post here and i will do my best to reply to your questions, please keep PM'ing to a minimum as i have a slow ass connection and i might not get all of them.

A few other things I would like to add are that we will be desperately trying to get sponsors for the event and hopefully will be able to have a raffle at the event. Also, the event does not have a name as of yet...so if you have any good ideas....you know what to do...

Its probably being set up as a track day. Where there are 3-4 run groups of varying experience (beg, int, adv, instructor) offering 20 minute sessions on a rotation. It will be with other cars on the track, and probably not a race.

One question I have is, can I put a deposit down and if I cant make it, get my $$ back (with advance notice, of course.).

6 months is a long way off... and I'm not sure of what might be happening then.

Yeah, but who's organizing it? It could either be a well run track day or complete CF. If the organizer has little experience with track days, the latter is likely.

awdwagon, you might want to post the particulars or provide a link to them. You don't want people expecting a track day but getting parade laps and a picnic, or vice versa.

My guess is that it is a Performance drivers ed program. there is no real competion. you go and drive around on the track for fun with an instructer.

I might make it out, but on a Tuesday....it's hard to get off work, and it's hard to commit so far before the date.

im gonna try to answer the questions in one shot. it is being setup as a track day....3 groups as of right now, beg., adv., and instructor, 20 minute sessions, 3 sessions per group before lunch, 4 sessions after lunch.deposits are non-refundable unless event is cancelled entirely. the person settign this up works at beaver run so as far as making this event work and be orginized is covered also.for the money thats a good bit of track time. as far as replaceing the ITR expo, every years the expo is moved to a differant track so this year it will be in iowa or something like that, it was only at beaver run for 2 years in a row because plans for another track feww through due to constuction.

I am interested but will have to check my finances and wait till a few days before the deadline..

I think you might have talked to my buddy because he has been asking me about the same event.

His name Mike Savannah: Silver 01 Turbo GSR.

Sounds like alot of fun and I think this will be a great event.

Hopefully we can all get together after and go out to eat then cruise somewhere?

**If you are really hurting for people I would suggest posting in the Tri-State and even Southeast region forum.

People travel to have fun. Only killer is it is a Thursday.

Everyone try to get some sponsors!!

I will also try to work on some leads as well.

Come on Subie vendors Good chance to pass the word on about what you have to offer!!

Matt

If I have a car to run I will most likely go. (just sold the WRX). Unless something really bad happens I should have an STI by then. May I suggest putting together a website about this? I would host it for free if thats an issue. PM me.

i went to a subaru-only auto-x there a few months ago. give beaverun a call. They could put you in touch with the local subie dealer that helped with that auto-x. they might be interested in sponsorship as well.
