I am reloading XP on a friend's computer and he doesn't have the serial number handy...where can I find it on his PC?

maybe in the registry somewhere. although i think its encrypted. look on google for programs that will find and display the key.

one easy way is to download aida32 (which is now everest from lavasys)

it lists the product id
