Default Anyone use the anti-theft mode on the Accesport?

I have a accesport and was wondering how good the anti-theft mode works? Can people bypass it? Anyone here use it? Thanks

They can bypass it by doing a "hard reset" which returns the ecu back to it's base map.
Nah, I've never used it..

I was using it until I walked up to may car one day, forgot to pull out the AP, and just cranked the key--It started right up.

So, that was the day I stopped using the AP for security puposes.

(Disclaimer: I have not tried in any way to correct this problem. I have not called Cobb or even tried a new anti-theft map yet.)

I used it when leaving my car parked in an unsecure lot while I went on a river trip. I tried to start the car after activating the map and it worked as it was supposed to (e.g. turned over but would not start). How many smash 'n grab thieves are really going to take the time to do a hard reset on the ecu? I know that if someone really wants a car, they'll get it, but why make it easy?
The only problem I can think of with using it as a base map is that you have to use 2 reflashes of you 100 reflash limit.

It wouldn't hurt, it would just be a pita to deal with unless you're leaving your car somewhere for a very long time.

I'm guess you just didn't load the map correctly?
