Isn't there something on the start page about this?

Nope, no more 2 doors on the Imprezas ever. At least not in the new body style.

Subaru has plans for a "new" car. Something like the SVX with 2 doors I guess. Might be pretty cool.

Also, there will never be more 22B's made. They *may* make a newer version if subaru wins more rallys but it would be pretty expensive and I bet only a handful of people here (on this site) would be able to buy them so don't even think you can afford one.

Here's what Subaru has to say about the new 4-door only design:

"Four-door designs have major advantages such as better weight balance, easier servicing and higher packaging freedom. The new Impreza incorporates these benefits while completely avoiding the low body rigidity that's often a problem in four-door vehicles." - From the Subaru WRX season booklet.

On top of that, the 2-door version of the Impreza was not an impressive seller, world-wide. It was mainly popular in the States, but once the 4-door came out, it eclipsed the 2-door sales. No sense designing something no one really wants...

There is a simple solution for those who want a 2 door WRX, as opposed to the 4 door. Weld the rear doors , smooth out the handles etc, and there you have it a 2 door WRX. In the previous model that was the main difference, it's not as if the 2 door was really a coupe.

That wouldn't look right bro. When they make two doors, they extend the doors a lot. The rear side windows are a lot shorter due to that too. Just look at any 2 door vs 4 door model on the same car and youll know what im talking about.

Its because the rest of the world cares less about 2 doors on their Impreza's...

Americans have a 2-door stereotype still, that must be cured

Ballz_Anthony..

Think: sarcasm.

I should have made it clear I guess..I was trying to take a fun swipe at those who insist that a 2 door sedan is a lot sportier than a 4 door sedan, and I was offering a solution to those who want a 2 door sedan.
