While they make no mention of alcohol not being allowed to be carried on, they still might not let you take it on, becasue they cannot control how much you drink.

Its a train, what are they gonna do, search you?

Last time I took a train, they never checked anything I had. And I know of a friend who used to take a handle with him everytime he had to take the train from Montana to CT...

If you are scared, pour it in a less suspicious bottle

when i took a train form omaha nebraska to pit. penn the guy next to me had a cooler wiht a case and a half of harp, and a half case of pepsi
some lunch meat, some crackers, and bread along with mayo and mustard.
the trains honestly don't give a **** who is on them or what they bring on them.

to a certain extent that scares me, but it was also cool that i could just grab a case of beer toss it in a cooler for my boyus and me to trip across the rockies.

trains are hella fun, you can't get anywere fast, but they re fun if you have the time. AND they are absolutley beautiful

p.s if it helps amtrak serves budlight cans, and some other normal exotics, so try to bring beers they carry and they will nto even give a crappa

Take your own - train travel is tedious.

Fair enough - I wish trains in the US were like they are in Europe.
