Default hella fog lights on a legacy?

I have a 97 Legacy GT with factory fog lights and would like to upgrade to somthing a little brighter. I want to remove the factory fog lights and replace them with hella 500's or 1000's. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if the hellas will fit and could the factory wiring be used. any pictures would be great.

I thought the legacy GT's had the smaller projector-style foglights?

Its definately possible, but I dont know how much fabrication of a bracket would be necessary.

If I recall correctly someone here had placed larger fogs or driving lights on a bracket near or in the opening of the stockers. Might want to search the members gallery or maybe in the NWIC, that may have been the other place I saw them.

hope that helps.

The newer models of the legacy have the projector style. I have a MY99 and I still have the rectangular style fog lights.

Ahh, but theyre still pretty small right? (I didnt know if they WERE projector, but I do remember that they were not as big as the RS ones). I like the idea of taking an OBS bumper, that would look pretty cool.

On my Audi, I have smaller rectangular shaped foglights (reflector) and Im going to be putting a set of Hella 450s' in the bumper and removing the stock fogs because they have been sandblasted. Im hoping I dont need a bracket and they will just mount into some metal around there.
