Cool Review: Eibach Pro Kit springs with stock 04 WRX struts

I also have Whiteline steering rack bushings and a Perrin 22-24MM swaybar set at 22mm Currently.

So far after the install, THEY ARE AWESOME. The springs give the car a nice look. The front drops 1.3" and the rear 1". The car rides extremely well on road. Its a little choppy on really bad roads but otherwise a nice compromise between performance and liveability. First impressions with a bit of "spirited driving" reveals a well sorted and even feel. The car still has some minor body roll but definitely does not understeer nearly as much as the stock components allow. Every mod was done individually such as the SRB. For $30 its definitely a must have. The sway bar is also a must have. But for me the springs complete the package. The car drives very well on road but will definitely allow for a little misbehaving. If you are looking for some springs and would like a bit of performance with good looking results, these springs are an excellent choice.

All I want to get next is a set of nice endlinks to make the swaybar connection a bit more solid.

did exactly the same thing you did.... upgraded sway bars one at a time, added end links, and then tanabe gf210 on factory struts. the springs completed the package to make the sway bars "come alive" sorta.... the stock struts are under dampened for the increased spring rate of the tanabe however. ok for street, but performance will suffer on circuit.

yeah stock struts seem to be underdamped for most aftermarket lowering springs. good excuse to get KONI's!

just a follow-up question: how do the stock struts handle these springs? are they underdamped?

spring rates of the eibach prokit from a seller: Front: 171 lbs/in; Rear: 160 lbs/in

am i better off purchasing an ALK?

TIA
