Question 99 RS cluster swap

So I am trying to swap a 99 RS cluster into my 96 tachometer-less 96 impreza. Right off the bat I noticed that the speedometer and odometer input on my cluster is not digital. the RS cluster is. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make this work? Also if I just put the tach into my cluster will it work?

Thanks a lot.

Andy

I have the connector and 99rs cluster for sale. If you want the wiring alone it's $25. shipped. With cluster $75. shipped.

If your 96 uses a cable speedometer I don't think you will be able to make this work. The 99 has an electronic speed sensor in the transmission and doesn't use a cable.

there are companies that make converters to convert the cable to an electronic VSS signal.
