Default poll: get the STI, or keep the wrx

so 4 months ago I got a wrx. Now I am in the process of maybe getting an STI. My dealer has a silver with silver wheels.

My question is this. I told them I wanted my payments within 50 bucks of what they are now, if they can get them there, shoud I....

1. Buy the STI, since it has all the mods I would want to do to my wrx, but they are covered under warranty
2. Keep the WRX, take the extra 50 bucks a month and put it toward the WRX to pay it off a little earlier, and mod it!

Thanks.

If you can swing an STi for $50/month more, DO IT! Just check insurance first though. It may be a lot more, may not.

I have to agree with you on that one. I went there and wanted to go home with it. Once I get done building my wrx Ill be just as happy as it being a STI. not really tho.

lol, already did that. my insurance would be 25 bucks more every 6 months, so I can swing that.

NEVER EVER NEGOTIATE ON PAYMENTS.

If they can get your car payments on an STi within $50 of your WRX, you might take some time to review the loan terms. Don't forget to bring some astroglide so your ass won't hurt so much the following day.

If they can get your payments how you like them without you taking it in the rear, I'd say go for it. The STi is awesome. I still haven't driven one, and am keeping it that way to make sure I don't do something stupid and buy one when I shouldn't :|

I would seriously take a CLOSE look at the deal - there is no way the dealer is going to swing that without seriously screwing you somewhere.

1. You are in essence trading in a used car. (Huge depreciation hit) Yes it is only 4 months old but drive that WRX over to ay other dealer and find out how bad you're getting nailed on depreciation.

2. The STI is several thousand more than the WRX.

3. How does this only equal an extra $50 bucks a month??

Longer term + negative equity rolled in to loan.

the father in me says dont do it. pay the WRX off sooner. 50 a month extra will save you alot of money in the long run.

well, no STI for me, they couldnt get my payments where I wanted them, so now its time to mod the WRX. plans include, rims and tires, lowering springs, and possibly a lip kit.
