Post Thanks For Everyone's Help, but One Other Question?

Thanks to everyone who helped me on the other thread("Why the heck can't i sell my car")I've adjusted the price now.
So here's the situation:
I went down to the subie dealer to talk financing for the wrx I have a deposit on. We got to talking and the salesperson had mentionedd another idea for getting rid of my car. They had said they would give me $13,000 for my 2000 Accord LX and put the car on their lot to sell it for me. I get to put the price I want on the car and they just relay the offers to me. They of course get a commission of 1000. So they are basically giving me trade in value, but I get to keep the rest depending on the final selling price (minus 1000). I think they called this a consignment or something. I of course, subject to finance approval, would get to drive the new rex off the lot. What do you all think of this? It is tempting, b/c I think the car will sell much faster that way. The dealer also is giving me the idea he wants to "move" this wrx off his lot and he is not willing to wait forever for me to sell my car privately, which I can understand. I figured I would put $17000 on the car at the lot and see what people offer. Has anyone done this? I am a little weary though as I would want this all in writing, which they said they would do.Once they pay off my current loan (11k) plus the extra 2K, the car is essentially theirs, correct? I don't want to get a call from the guy sating that since the car is theirs, they can sell it for say 14K, when I was told I could advertise it on their lot for 17K. Am I making sense here? So, theoretically, I could have this car very soon and hope that my Accord sells quickly at the price I was asking or therabouts. Sorry for the ramble, but just wanted to check with some of the experts here. Thanks.

BTW, I negotiated a price for the wrx of 23K, not incl. sales tax. This includes the alarm upgrade

I'm certainly no expert, but I'd be wary about taking money for your car before it's sold, unless you can get a very specific written aggrement from the dealer concerning the pricing.
