Question Going to install an OEM boost gauge and need advice.

I know I know the OEM boost gauge sucks yada yada... But I got it with the suby bucks so it was basically free. . Anyway I know I would like the gauge light to match the console so how do I go about it? I don't want it to be too dim though. Anyway any other suggestions or advice based on your experiance installing the gauge?

It will dim with the gauges already. I assume when you wire it in, when you change the brightness of the dash it will change too.

Yea I hear it's dim to begin with I just don't want to do something that will change the color of the gauge to red at the expens of dimming it too much. And yea I don't mind it dimming by the dimmer control.

I have the OEM turbo gauge pack ($200 brand new off ebay - yeah I know they aren't the best, but for that price....). I matched the STi cluster by pulling off the stock condom and using some red translucent glass paint. Looks great - I'd say a 95% match to stock with no loss in brightness. You can get the paint in a pen applicator from Michaels (a craft store).
