Default replaced my seats and now the horns don't work

I swapped out my WRX seats for a JDM pair and ignored the airbag light. However ever since my horns have stopped working. I dropped it off at a shop for some other stuff and I asked them about it and they said my horns were associated with my airbags and if the airbag light is on the horn won't work.

Is this true? If so, will the resistor mod fix it? What resistor is it again, and where does it go?

Thanks

The only connection between the horn and the airbag is that both use the clock spring/roll connector in the steering wheel. But, this only applies to the driver air bag in the steering wheel and has nothing to do with the side airbags in the seats.
It's possible that your roll connector just happened to go out at the same time you changed the seats.
