I just tried to pull off my radio to take a closer look on the HVAC, but the wires behind wont allow the radio to even move 1 inch out of the dash. Does anyone got any idea on how to get to the HVAC?

Default Another option...

Painting is a great way to go! It turns out better in my opinion. I had bags on the HVAC and painting the radio. The radio was a much deeper red, and the HVAC looks pink in comparrison to the paint. I ended up painting everything. Here is exactly what I used from Michael's Craft Store. Two coats of red.

The paint specifically is PermEnamel. It is a glass/bulb paint. I bought all three stages, clean, color, clear. The color is "RED RED"

I'll try to get pictures of the finished product tonight or this weekend. But no it won't burn off because it is meant for hi-heat glass. It may have the problem of fading just like the condoms but with the clear coat glaze I am hoping that will be reduced. I removed all my condoms so I have both red and blue if anyone is interested PM me.
**(I DO NOT have .12 in red. I ordered in April but they never came.)

This was actually suggested to me by Mechie who plays a huge role in all these color change tutorials. Props to him.

I removed the cup holder and plastic bezel, then removed the 6 screws that bolt the stereo in place. But after that, the stereo would even slide 1 inch out. And I have no place to slide my hand behind it to remove the cables.

hey all! i just did this and the interior turned out great

the pics turned out really bad but u get the idea the lighting is alot more red than in the pic. also i double bagged everything

but i was wondering, i repaced the boost gauge bulb with that 2723 bulb and it turned out great, would i be able to replace the rest of the hvac bulbs with 2723 bulbs to be brighter? also what would be the stock bulb -->2723 bulb equivalent of the bulbs in the radio that the .12" covers are for?

Okay i went to the parts express, autozone, pepboys. And no one seems to carry those covers.... I'm mostly worried about the radio part.... Is there a way to just take the lil bulbs out and replace with red ones? Because I've delt with painting the bulbs before and that dosen't work.
