Default 12v...which wire

Im wiring up some interior lighting and am curious what I should wire them up to. I did a search but couldn't find a thread that helped me. I did read that there is a 12v wire behind the change holder but which one is it? Any help would be great

There's one going to the cig. lighter.

It's red. 12v constant = red.

Actually the lighter is not constant 12V, it is switched accessory power.
It would be helpful if you provided more information about what you are actually trying to install.

Maybe you can try the wiring for the dome lights -- so that it will turn on whenever you open your door.

Ok, do you want independent control, do you want them to come on when the car is on, what control scheme are you planning on?

Stay away from the 12v constant for your car stereo..You'll get all kinds of whine from the interference of the neons..

Get a fuse box wire clips kit from Autozone. You just plug directly into the fuse box.
