Impreza GC8 Installed '02 WRX wiper stalk. Intermittent speeds backwards?

Hi guys. I just got done installing a WRX intermittent wiper stalk into my '00 RS, which obviously did not have an intermittent speed option. The install was a snap, and everything works perfectly except one thing:

The speeds on the intermittent rotator knob are backwards. High is low, and low is high. I made a phone call to a friend who suggested that the ground wires must be backwards, but as this is an OE part and I don't know of others having this issue... I'm a little bamboozled. (That is unless the wires were swapped when Subaru redesigned the car for '02....)

If that's true, does anyone know which wire is which, and needs to be moved where? I haven't got any electrical tools, though, except some crimpers...

A thread about the swap is here, by another member: http://www.rs25.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15922
(My response on page 3.)

Thanks!!

did it say high/low on it?

Mine just has a wide and a narrow section. The narrow means short wait between wipes, wide means long wait.

Saw your reply on RS25.com, too....

That's a pic from someone else's thread. That's the stalk. I figured it corresponded with the "hi" and "low" on there but maybe I'm wrong...
