Default Real Carbon Fiber 22 piece dash kits..Brushed Alumminum too

In my personal search for an interior carbon fiber dash kit I came to the conclusion us Subaru guys(and gals) get short changed in this category. I came up with no quality off the shelf provider, so on went the search for a manufacturer of kits that had some real carbon fiber they could offer and a quality fit(based on their other products) and finish. Well our search ended and we have produced our first MadDad(TM) Dash Kits, with real carbon fiber as one of the first offerings. We also have a brushed aluliminum that look that is like what you might see in an Acura TL. It's not real aluminum but the kit uses quality matte laminates which produce a very rich authentic look. It's nothing like those low-cost poured resin kits that look like they are plastic(becuse they usually are). Kits will be made available for all model years 02-05+ including STi's and Automatics. 05 Legacy kits may follow with some quality wood surfaces. These products are sold under our MadDad(TM) label and have a two week MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. If you receive the product and are not satified with the material quality finish you may return the kit for a full refund including your ship to freight. This guarantee is void if the product is installed or if the 3M 4229P tape backing has been removed from any piece. This product installs on top of your current factory pieces. These are very complete kits (19+ pieces) that cover the HVAC/Radio controls, front/rear of the center console. Front and rear doors. Instrument cluster trimming, cruise control, cigarette ligher, ashtray, ect, ect.

The first two materials are available for immediate order.

$329.95 for Carbon Fiber, $299 for the Brushed Aluminum look. Limited discount coupons available:

First 6 orders use coupon code: TENOFF for a 10% discount on checkout.
First 6 orders use coupon code: FREEFR8 for free freight on your order.

Please order from our new shopping cart. Direct link to this item:

BUY DASH KIT

These coupons auto expire when used 6 times. You can combine both coupons on your order. Allow 4-6 days for product to ship. These kits are currently being built to order.

If this kit you are selling is something you designed and now produce, you should design a kit for the GC8 guys aswell. We also get short changed with interior parts. I have attempted to design and fabricate a kit for the GC8 guys but with little success. Also nice blue WRX. I bought my car from Natick Subaru too.

The manufacturer we had build these has a very sophisticated system that's totally computer controlled/manufactured. So long as they have the GC8 interior in their computer system for another material we can have them build us a kit with our choice of materials. Right now we're committed to the two materials above. We're thinking of adding a carbon and kevlar combo that has a nice black/blue alternating pattern and if we do a Legacy GT kit we will be adding at least one wood grain surface. I'll check in on availability for the CG8 and post back early next week.

That would be great, thanks. Like I said before, I have attempted to fabricate a dash kit for the GC8 with no luck. I have designed other underhood parts and made them of carbon fiber, but have not made any others besides the first. These will be going on my car in the spring sometime and would love a trim kit to go with it. Thanks again for your help.

Default Carbon Fiber Dash Kit pics

OK, First off I'm not the best installer. I don't have those steady hands needed for this type of stuff, but I plunged in anyway. On scale of 1 to 10 I'd say my install was an 8(I was about 1/16" of an inch too far to the right with the large HVAC overlay piece. You can see how the upper left corner is a little off.). Here's a few pics I grabbed. Not the best lighting conditions(a bit of sun glare). The CF is clearcoated and has UV protectoin.

This isn't the full kit. Not installed yet is the rear door trim, ashytray, cigarette liger, cruise control, instrument cluster, and defront vent trim.

You know what would be great if there was a piece that went around the outside of the radio trim, I think a lot of people with radio installs have scratched the crap out of that area.

Looks great, Rich!!!

I was beaten to the punch on getting something for we poor pre-2002 folks. I tried contacting places like Autospeed several times, and they were never able to help out with kits. I was mostly interested in a shifter trim ring, similar to their one for the WRX, but the extra curvature of the GC's shifter console piece made it too hard. So, similarly, a dash kit would've been incomplete perhaps without that piece.

I'm sure someone could donate their interior to get it done. The window/locks switch piece might be tough, and it's also different between coupe and sedan. The coupe's is sort of set into the door card, more of a part of it, while the sedan's is this chunky thing that sits on top of it, with a clip holding it in place.

Default Who wants a deal on the Brushed Aluminum Kit

Hey folks,

I've put the CF in my car so I could get some photo's up. Now I have a few people emailing me for pics of the brushed aluminum kit. I have an 02-03 kit in stock. I'll knock another $20 off, so $249. You must have a digital camera and be able to take some photo's for posting. This deal is only for the 02-03 kit in house.

Siper2 - Sadly my manufacturer does not have any GC8 bodied Impreza's in their computer system

Damn, that's pretty hot!

I'd buy one now but I want to make sure those areas are going to be finished and un-touched. This will be the finishing touch.

It does indeed look good, Rich. I'm more of a metal-finish kind of fella, but it looks good.

Monsito - Your kit should be shipping on Monday.

hnd-kla - No intent on partial kits. Maybe you can find someone who wants a few bits to cut a deal with.

We're also planning on bringing out a Black Carbon Fiber / Blue Kevlar combo. We're having our fabricator cut us a bunch of real samples of the rear door trim. That way if anyone need to touch something "real" before they make a purchase decision we can send out a real sample. Also keep in mind the money back guarantee. If you don't like what you see when it arrives, return it for a full refund. Including freight.

I would be interested if you guys could do a black brushed aluminum. Would your manufacturer be able to do something like that?

How good is the tape? With that, I wouldn't want it pulling off after a year just due to heat or something along those lines. How well does it mask the orignal part under it? Can you still see the original or are these good enough to cover the whole part?

haven - We're having a bunch of rear door demo pieces for the WRX being done in :Carbon Fiber, Black Carbon / Blue Kevlar, and the Aluminum Look. Something we can shoot to people quickly for say $9.95 shipped, which would be refundable on a purchase.

SonicYelloWRX - Sorry nothing really available close to that.

revumbra - It's the 3M automotive tape backing specific to the application and best I can tell you thus far is once it on there, it's on there. It secures so tight you need to be carful with the install because there is no pulling it back off. You can see the coverage in the above pictures. It's an ovelay so it will never be 100% coverage, but it's about 97% in my estimation.

con40 - thanks, I like it too.(and somehow so does my wife)
