I figured this subject would've been beaten to death but my searches came up pretty empty. I have a TMIC on my car now and my TXS FMIC should be here tomorrow. Should I completely get the car re-tuned or are the changes easy enough for me to make? I don't have a WB02 however.

I don't know if my experience was "normal" but my tune (fuel-wise, anyway) was TOTALLY borked after putting an FMIC on.
It wasn't dangerous really, just exceptionally rich in the low-load areas (from 12.5ish to 10.5ish). There were some spots around 70% and certain low RPM that were lean, but I *think* that was caused by other changes I'd been making in my maps but hadn't noticed until after the FMIC install. |

I have a stock IC before I switch to Turboxs FMIC. My original map was rich everywhere. If you looked at the stage4TMIC map v.s. the stage4FMIC map on turboxs you'll see that fuel is less on the FMIC map almost everywhere. The timing is the same.
So only fuel map needs to be tune. The only safe way to tune fuel..... yep wideband. So re-tune in your case, you should think about getting a tuna or other WBo2's with all your setups. |

Thanks for the replies. I'd love to get a tuna but after this FMIC project it's time to pay the bills. Down the road is possibly a bigger turbo and one last tune
