Default When to change oil when tracking car?

I was thinking there would be a few posts around here about this, but I did not have any luck. Maybe the search engine just sux. Anyway, I run Mobil 1 and usually change oil every 5K. My car will probably see about 4 or 5 track days this summer and I was just wondering how often the track gods were changing their oil when tracking the Suby. Any more frequent or no worries?

Thanks

So based on your one post in that link you would recommend an oil change after every track day? Is that what most people are doing?

Does anyone else have any input on this?

Thanks

Yeah, I'd say one after each event or 5K, whichever is least. An oil analysis would be the best bet, but to be safe more change are better.

Yeah I've sent my oil in to Blackstone a few times. I usually send in a sample every other oil change to make sure everything is in check. However, I like to change my oil right before and right after any track days. I think it is pretty unnecessary but it makes me feel a lot better. Autox is different because you don't put nearly the the same amount of hard mileage on your car as a track day so I usually wait till my 4k mark before changing it.

I usually changed the oil on the rally car every rally, but that was a bit different and a lot more miles/harder driving on it than a typical track day that I've seen.
