Default If you go with JDM 6MT + 4.444 ratio, what about speedo correction?

What do you need to make the speedo correction? My speedo is already off as I'm running 235/40/17 - the CHP warning radar on I-15 says I'm going 72~73 when my speedo say 75...if I went with JDM 6MT w/4.444 the difference will be huge!

I failed in my search and my memory might be slipping, but I through there was a company in Washington state that you could ship your gauge cluster to. They perform odometer and speedometer recalibration for a fee based on your criteria. I believe all you have to do is provide them the correction factor and they do the rest. I could be 100% wrong about this and they might just do odometer work, but I thought they could do stuff to the speedometer too. If not, I think you will need to go to one of your local calibration shops and find out how much you are off and keep this in mind. The good news is you should be UNDER with the swap. My 4.03 vs. 3.90 final drive equates to like 3-4MPH at 70, so when I am going 70, I am actually doing 67. If you view the transmission faq, I think one of the links in there has an online calculator to determine loss/gain vs. final drive.

There are places that will reprogram/recalibrate gauge clusters. Like here in Minneapolis, there is D&D that focuses just on dashboards and such and I've actually towed a car to them to have a gauge cluster worked on. When searching just look for places that specialize in that stuff, they're out there.

Just run a JDM cluster and do the math. Takes a blink of an eye. Pretty sexy too.
