I have a forester so I have a 112 mph cut. I need to get rid of that speed cut for my next trip to the track. I definately dont want the torque chip or similar as I sure as hell do NOT want my timing advanced or my a/f played with by anything but the emanage.
Anybody have any ideas? I found a thread after searching for a long time that had a timer circuit making 100 hz pulses and a switch to input the 100 hz signal to the ecu when the switch is flipped, and the original signal when the switch was not flipped... I cant have a switch to be flipping on and off all the time.. any solutons out there??

thats true..
an on off switch could work then.. just tell people it is the "track mode" switch and have it disconnect the signal to the ecu. |

Unpluging your VSS puts the car in limp mod not allowing it to rev past ~4000rpms. I would have pulled mine years ago just to keep the milage low

wow. i didn't know that. that's really stupid!
god forbid your VSS goes out on a long trip, eh? ![]() damned engineers. in that case, a digital divide by two circuit would work nicely. plus you'd be able to tell how fast you were going by just multiplying the speedo readout. and you'd rack up half the miles! ![]() ken |
