Searching brings up 631 posts. It's the blue word in the upper right hand corner of your screen. I'd recommend it highly. You can get all the opinions on all of the vendors on every different kind of turbo kit.

Chris Lawson - If you're looking for the best bang for your buck, I'd recommend going with the JC Sports basic IHI turbo kit. You can check it out at www.jcsportsinc.com

Yes, I would definitely say go with a ludespeed kit, I have one from a recent goup buy that he finished. he's very very good to work with, and very concerned with the quality of his work and customer service. he was always helpfull in answering any questions that any of the group buy members had.

as soon as I stop being so lazy I'm gonna take some pictures and do a writeup about it.

the web address of his site is. http://turbo_25rs.tripod.com/

Not to try and get in steal anybodyís thread or anything but I have been playing with the idea of a turbo also from lubespeed and forcedairtek from and was wondering what else I would need other than exhaust? i want to use a Stromung - Dual Tip. And maybe headers but donít want to sink to much into it right off the bat maybe 4 grand including installation at rallispec. Any ideas on reliability of the kits or what I need extra?

[flame suit on]
guys, I never mentioned anything about customer service, but it's true that the JCS Kits are quality units... if you thought JCS was the only "bad vendor" then you obviously haven't heard about ASR then.

As for me being JCS Canada, yes, I represent JCS here in Canada, providing customer service as well as technical help. So far, I've had nothing but high praise from alot of people. If you don't believe me, just ask the guys that've dealt with me. I by no means deny that the guys down in the US (JCS Inc) have had a poor track record for customer service, but their product quality is top notch none the least. IMHO If he's able to make the trip over to CO, that'd be the way to do it.

In any case though, R&D is extremely important for turbo kits, and thus, having more experience rather than less for building kits for Subarus specifically is crucial for relatively "care-free" operation. If you do a search around, you'll find that JC Sports Inc. was the FIRST company to provide any aftermarket parts for North American Scoobies. They were also first to produce a turbokit. I don't want to sound like I'm defending anyone in particular, just stating the facts.

wasn't JCSports and the people who represent them BANNED from the board And those who represent them also told not to post on this board. That is the impression I got after reading this

Rubasu - only JCS directly etc. As I was speaking from a consumer standpoint and not one of a vendor (and or one representing a vendor).

Hence the reason why I'm posting. When I post under my personal ID (this one) I'm trying to provide a scope of options as a consumer and not as a rep of JCS; hence providing an objective non-biased recommendation. If I was violating something, then I'm sure one of the Moderators would either talk to me about it or ban me as well. But if that was the case, than ImprezaRS dot com
would be banned too.

I know some (not to mention any names) may consider my views biased due to the fact that I do rep. JCS here in Canada. But there are links that provide what other consumers think of JCS' product quality etc as well. Like most everyone on this board, I'm a consumer for aftermarket stuff as well, and before becoming the rep. for JCS in Canada. I've used the former "Minnam" turbo kits etc, and I speak from experience when I recommended the JCS stuff for "best bang for the buck." Here's one of many such links to provide another non-biased view http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...threadid=66766
I'm by no means am trashing any company or their product etc and will not do that, as quality etc will speak for themselves. But for what Chris Lawson directly asked for info on, was directly what I replied with.

But as Fitz said, do a search, you'll find the information that you'll need. Just be the judge yourself, in the end, you're the one that will have to live with your decisions.

I had the prototype Forced Air Technologies Stage 1, then the prototype Stage 2 and I am currently upgrading my block for the Stage 3 kit.

I had no problems with the Stage 1 kit. With stock clutch, and fuel pump, and no IC I was able to run a 13.91 at the local track. I am using the Rallispec IC and have a dual tip Stromung that was custom made by Scott at Stromung. It it the WRX backbox, with piping for the 2.5 RS.

I would recomend getting Rallispec's IC and plan on having to replace the clutch soon.

Feel free to email me if you want to discuss this in more detail, so we don't hijack this thread any further.

ImprezaRS dot com - Sorry about that Larry.. didn't want to get your ID wrong, so thought I'd use your name. I don't mean any harm in it, just making a statement. I guess there are no re-buttles this time.

Yea and to be honest with you I would not recommend buying from jcsports. I ordered a badge from them and 2 months later! I get a reply saying 'oh... well, we cant get them for you so I will credit your card...' I ordered this thing back in MAY!...AND I STILL DONT HAVE MY MONEY.

I would rather buy from other vendors any day.

Like Ludespeed or cobbtuning for a turbo kit...Email cobbtuning about making you a custom kit...Sorry there just is no trust for jcsports...and I am exercising my freedom of speech ...hehehe...

Blindeye_03 - just curious which badge you bought? was it an "i" or the stars? If it was the "stars" badge just in a different color, you could've just DIY, was posted on several different places on how to do it. If it was a Mark "i" badge that's a different story.
