I'm looking for something cheap. It's 235 or 225, or 245. it's all good.

Thanks.

yeh, I'm looking about $200 or so for good used tires, otherwise I'll probably go with the Kumho ASX since P-zero Nero M+S is out of stock until febuary.

yeh, I tried that. I have to have it shipped and get it here, mount it, etc.

It's about the same price as Discout Tire over here. I'm getting a deal from them, because I used their service few times. The manager there is cool too, he drives a S2000 and we had a talk before.

I'm looking at about $500 intalled with free lifetime rotation and roadside service. and I don't have to wait.

But I'm just looking for something that I could put on real quick that wont cost me that much... I'm sure I'll end up buying new ones, but I thought i give it a shot here.

Went to Sebring and the Dragon with them and they performed flawlessly. Superb grip and predictable. Yes, I <3 my Kumhos.

Have you looked at the Falken FK-451's(280AA) and ST-115's(360AA)
? They are around $100 a tire from discount tires.

ASX? those are all season... if you're looking for all seasons you might want to check out the Falken Ziex 512's. That's what I've been running on my cars for the past 2 years.

I had 512's before. They're not as good as it's cracked out to be.

For an AS tire, the Toyo Proxes4 would be a good choice if the PZero Nero M&S isn't available.

I have had the MX's and driven the FK-451's on an EVO, and they both are outstanding tires...the MX a bit better dry(and lighter) and the 451 better wet.

The only beef I had with the MX was it seemed a bit iffy on wet grip (not a big deal to me really) but the sidewall was softer than I like for a tire with that much grip.

Man, I would just take a look around for some RE070s from some STi owners... I have seen 4 new ones go for as cheaply as 400. THAT is a deal.

yeh, i just couldn't find any.

anyway, I just bought Kumho ASX. I have 15 miles on it and I hate it already. I might replace this with Kumho 712's or Toyo.

Thanks everyone for your help and keep a look out if you come to any tires.

I'll probably see more of you on either Varsity meeting or north point meeting tonight.

I'll be in red evo.

You weren't cheap on buying the Evo so..... why not spend the money on some tires... remember cheaper isn't always better....

well, will get rt-615.

thanks all you jokers with funny comments tha'ts 10 years old in every forum known to man.

and thanks for those who actually made a helpful comment.

I'm keeping my asx for street, guess i'll find another rim to mount that but will mount the rt-615 on the stock rims.

I'm not AS, i'm SM.

my gf with an Evo just got some victoracers heat cycled.

Dunlops worked great too, the dot race tire with 60 rating.

and no, I posted it up on honda thread too. it's getting tires cheap, not buying new ones.

i'll post the buying new good tires for cheap on my site.

thanks.

If you're posting on other forums, add BMW to the list. The tires you're looking for are common on M3's.

i'll post the buying new good tires for cheap on my site.

thanks.

Then please, by all means, go somewhere else.

People here have offered valid and good advice. If you're trying to be super cheap, so be it, but there's nothing like paying for mount & balance twice in 6 months. As far as I'm concerned, that's money out the window that could've been used the first time to get a better set of tires.

Hmmm... well I guess this post got out of hand BUT

If you still need some tires I have 2 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S in that size with about 80% tread left for $80 (for both!)

PM me if interested.

Look guys, lay off the EVO owners. They are cool and nice people just like the SUBARU folks.

plokivos is a great customer of ours, and I'd like to see there not be a wall between the SUBARU and Mitsu camps.

Afterall...we are all about AWD, Turbos and fast 4 door cars from JAPAN.
