As some of you know I'm working on a "budget" 250hp engine.
Block stock EJ20G 30,000 miles, fresh seals Heads 95 EJ22 N/A heads 95 EJ18 intake manifold, wireing and ECU. Stock exhaust manifold, my up pipe, down pipe, and 2.5" press bent exhaust with 2.5" CATCO cat, straight through muffler. TD04L Turbo E-manage 370cc injectors Question is the heads: Has anyone used WRX springs and retainers on the ej22 heads? The WRX is designed for a 7000 RPM redline vs the 6200 RPM redline of the ej22. I don't plan on bumping the redline, but with track days pushing the car at 5000 RPM for 30 minutes at a time, I don't want valve float. Anyone have any info? Are they the same? Different? if they are different, how? Chad
