Default Stock gauge cluster

Will an 04 WRX gauge cluster work with an 02-03 WRX without any modifications? Also, how would you change the digital odometer if you could trade one in? The reason why I ask is because I like the tack in the center versus the side.

I really can't answer that question without comparing wiring diagrams. However have you considered an after market tach? Get one with a shift light maybe? Sure would be a lot less expensive.

I'm not really interested in the a.m. tachs because I like to do the "less is more" approach. I' don't want a bunch of stuff on my dash and a-pillar. I have seen a WRX with STi cluster but I didn't ask any questions about it.
