Default Water Injection tunes

2004 Subaru WRX at XXtuning Dynapack

Anyway, the dyno plot below also shows the gain over the baseline pump gas tune without water/meth. Running on a 175cc nozzle. I also found out after that tune that my alky supply line was cracked and leaking during tuning. So we used less that optimum pressure for this tune.

175cc nozzle with cracked line tune, faint line is without water inject, darker line is with.

So here is the improvement with the 325 nozzle and nothing else added as far as bolt ons, only added a wastegate divorce pipe to my HKS downpipe.

Here is AFR/Boost

Here are the mods.

2004 WRX
Stock 2.0L internal wise
HKS downpipe
VF-22 turbo, not ported or clipped
TurboXS uppipe
Ceramic coated stock header
UTEC
Perrin Short ram
MRT TMIC
Snow Performance stg. 2 Boost cooler water injection system using 325 nozzle. ( I am thinking of the pump upgrade also, I want more injection pressure), Running a 50/50 mix methanol/distilled water, or Denatured alky/water
Stromung Cat back twin tip. Exhaust has no cats what so ever.
Walbro 255 fuel pump
PE-650 injectors

Granted we used very high boost for this tune on the dyno, and did road tune after with the boost turned down a little, because I wanted to feel what it was like. Man was it fast. So I am now back to running 20 lbs of boost in 3rd, and about 21-22 in fourth, and maybe around 23 in fifth. But I am not doing this for sustained periods.

here is a dyno ploy of my tune by tuan over at grd performance . this is on winter gas 93 oct. and 20 psi max since i did not copy in color it was a hair under 325 awhp and a little over 300 awtq. i darkend the lines a little as i had to shrink the pic.

samco i/c hoses
cobb accessport
peak boost about 16psi

blue line was my first run that got me 220/220 then the next three got me 230+/230+. no changes were in between any of the runs.

red run was my best with 235/235.

i was hoping for 220/220 and got that but when i was told i got 10/10 more on the second run i was happy. it just kept going up.

Default Protuned Stg 2

This was on the Mustang Dyno at Dieman Motorsports up in Lee's Summit (KC), MO,tuned by Doug from Top Speed. A stock WRX is supposed to put down around 175hp.

05 WRX Wagon, 91 octane

Mods (engine):
Cobb AccessPORT, ProTUNED by Doug from TopSpeed
Cobb Inconel Up Pipe
Cobb catted Down Pipe
Stock mid-pipe
Prodrive Muffler
USDM STi Intercooler
Samco I/C-TB hose

There's no base run since the first run on the Stg 2 base map wouldn't pull hard enough to trigger the end of the run, since AFR's were down under 10, and the car was making smoke signals out the exhaust. From the first run he was able to actually complete there was a 13hp and 14ft/lb improvement with the peaks coming earlier in the rev band in the final tune.
