btw, this was a fully bolt on kit...the only modification done was to the fmic piping and oil lines...also, every piece of piping was polished before we painted it...there was no shortcutting...everything was thought out and tested very well ...i'm really impressed with the work...and best of all, it was affordable...

on the same boost levels, this definitely feels better than the 18g....though it isn't really tuned yet, we were already able to turn the timing up to 21 up top where the 18g would knock constantly at that timing...the turbo altogether is much more efficient...as for the price, it was cheaper for me becuase it was the first one and pretty much the guinea pig for the kit...i can't wait to tune it!

dont tell brooks!

JK I cut brooks a really good deal because he was the fitment test car. All our measurements are perfect now, and we can make the kits without having to have a car in the shop. Basically, we have the design jigged, and will be pumping out about 10 of them in the next few weeks. PM me to find out what the price will be, but as im not yet a NASIOC vendor (will be very soon), I dont want to break any rules. Its very innexpensive let me tell you that. Much less than any other turbo kit out there. Also, just to let people know, we are opperating as an actual company. This is not just me wanting to make money. Our name is Performance Motors. We are also a Licenced dealer of used cars, and perf parts. I have been very slow in getting the website worked out, but PM has been in business for about 2 years now. Youll all be seeing alot more of us.

We will, we have a shop allready in Orem, Ive been doing work out of since the day it opened. I will have a website up hopefully by tonight, just a ****ty one, that will have some breakdowns on prices and stuff. Ive got mad dealer hookups with lots of companies, so we will sell the kit in full forms, or what we call the started kit.

EDIT; and the turbo is jusy oil cooled. once you get up to the larger turbos, they are only oil cooled. what we do with that is run a turbo bypass line, to keep that coolant flowing where it wants to.

The turbo that we used on brooks' car is a t3t04b. Brooks bought that one on his own used for like 500 bucks. its a 50 lb compressor. The turbine side has a stage 3 wheel with a .63 a/r housing. Bigger than the green, and polished sexy too. for under half the price.

pretty sure its just a designator.

oh and about that turbo question a few posts back, I am still in deep ponderation as to what turbo I want to offer people as a base turbo. Its still not sure sure but Im thinking not garrett based. There are some out there that seem VERY promising. Ill have that reasearch done soon, and hoping for a customer to try out one or 2 of my prospect turbos on.

Wow. That is really nice looking. Does the wastegate exhaust meet up with the downpipe or does blow out the side of the car? Because if it is the latter of the two, that would be awesome!

its pretty much loud as hell all the time because for now its just running open 3 inch downpipe. i can post up the video of the first start. his turbo sounds like that of a MAC truck when you are even just idling, then when you hit it, and it spools its even cooler sounding.

last night we were able to get the car tuned alittle bit at 18 psi, we started adding timing in, and didnt hit knock once. the turbo is making more power, and its more effiecient at that, because before when we tuned the car, it didnt want to let us run any more than 18-19 degrees under load. now, its running 21, and we have yet to have any knock even one count. The afrs are alittle up and down, between 10.6 and 11.3 because brooks' daws device boost controller is alittle crappy, and boost goes up and down.

We are going to keep tuning it, untill brooks is happy. his stock auto is holding up fine, and the motor is still stock but also holding up. We are tuning is really conservatively making slow changes in timing boost and fuel. Im thinking well tune for about 20 or so psi. idunno.

as stated above tuning has been very limited, and that we will be tuning more extensively soon. We are going to shoot for about 11.3 to 1 AFRs, as in my studies, that has been what most of the tuners I have studied target.
