Default GC Impreza Roll Bar Super Group Buy!!! With Pictures even! Ends on Feb 7th.

Safe Drives... Auto Safety Products, Auto Safety Information. "Your auto safety store!" is now bringing you a wide selection of auto safety products like this one.

Fabricated by:

Or:

Pictured below is Number 5 shown with the optional bolt in diagonal brace.

Shown below with optional diagonal.

What is not shown is an optional harness bar in the main hoop. To us at Safe Drives, the harness bar should not be an option at all. The harness bar provides a mounting point for a four point seatbelt system, a huge improvement in safety.

Safe Drives has just commissioned the fabrication of an initial run of 10 - #5 roll bars with 10 of the optional Harness bars slated for the North American market. These will be available for direct shipment from Germany to your door with the first units being ready for shipment in two weeks.

I need ten buyers! Who's in?

Dan- This item is not just for high power cars. We could all use some extra auto safety in our lives. 40,000+ people and millions are hospitalized every year in the US alone (nhtsa).

Jaxx- Yes the main hoop diagonal will look just like that that...but not red. The seat issue is a good question. In my experience these type of safety systems will limit the extreme range of the seat travel and obviously you will not be able to fully recline the front seats. If you purchase the roll bar and it does not work for your lifestyle or fit you as a driver then you may return the bar to us for a full refund sans the shipping costs. Please PM if you have any questions about this.

I will update the original post to include a return policy for this GB.

Wish I had the $$$ for #6 because I'm thinking about putting in a 4pt. roll bar w/harness bar set up in my car.

#5 is just for show since it essentially follows the curve of the C pillar. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be SCCA legal.

I would like a bolt in harness bar by itself for my 2dr like the speedware harnessbar for the wrx. Will you guys ever offer these?

We actually had those available when we launched the website.

However after doing some research and a nice chat with a state patrolman from another forum, we came to realize that in a roll over accident the Harness bar could actually cause more harm than good. Do a search and you'll find some debate about this issue even here on NASIOC.

You are WAAAAAY safer with a roll bar plus a harness bar and the cost is not that much more the harness bar alone.

True but it makes an excellent bar for adding a harness bar and 4+ point seatbelt. Much safer than without the #5 bar as well.

Well I like to be able to use my backseat for transporting stuff and passengers. ON OCCASION I do an auto-x or drag race. I would like the harness bar so i can use a 4-5 point harness more to keep me in the seat well. If I were ever to get my car into the 11's or on a real race track I would see the need for a real rollcage. Do you still offer a harness bar for a gc coupe?

Is this designed around the door openings of a Sedan? If so, does that put the main hoop in the middle of the door opening on a Coupe?

I guess I should have been a little bit more clear on the GC harness bar thing. We have had harness bars for sale at Safe Drives in the past but not for the GC. To my knowledge there are no stand alone GC harness bar available at this time.

You can however purchase this roll bar in #5 style, use your back seat occasionaly and have the harness bar as well.

This is a good question that I should have clarified earlier in the original post.

Coupe or sedan! your choice! Woo Hoo!

I don't have any pics of the coupe bar but I'm thinking it runs along the B pillar just like the sedan pic above. I'll get some clarification from Heigo (It'll probably be a day or so).

Got some good questions here for ya, very interested as the whole cage could cost right at 1k which is very attractive, but i want to be SAFE. I havent had much experiance with roll cages but am a Mech. Eng., so I have a good idea about it.

A. I am building a 95 Impreza for NASA club rally. I would be purchasing the full cage. First and foremost, would it be legal for NASA club rally? The following link has the regulations for the cages, starting on page 52.

http://www.nasarallysport.com/rules-...tions_2004.pdf

Second, How do bolt in cages perform compared to weld in cages? I would think a weld in cage would be more resistant to deform in a crash, but how much?

Third, what are the materials, Pipe diameter and wall thicknesses.

and last, any more pictures, basically installed into a ge bodied impreza?

thanks in advance,

-Mikey

Hi Mikey,

Bolt cages for race purposes are no bueno my friend. Bolt in bars and cages are for street application only in North America.

We do have a couple of weld in cage kit options that are FIA certified and do not cost much more than what the bolt in cage in this GB costs. Below is from another ad I posted a while back but the prices are still valid and you can order this kit today and recieve it in about a week.

GC body / í93-01 Impreza 2 or 4 door FIA / Group N Multi-point weld in Roll Cage Kit with homologation certificate.

CDS Kit:

4 door kit $1009 for plain ends or $1239 for profiled ends.

2 door kit $1019 for plain ends or $1259 for profiled ends.

T45 Kit:

4 door kit $1499 for plain ends or $1659 for profiled ends.

2 door kit $1519 for plain ends or $1769 for profiled ends. Shipped!

These kits prices are for the cage shipped from the UK to your door in North America.

If there any other question please feel free to post, PM or call us toll free at 877-739-1713.

Best regards,
Charles

I'm pretty sure that this will work in the GF wagon DoctorNick. If it does not work then we'll extend the return policy to cover your order as well.
