Default I think i have a boost leak, i need help!!!

Ever since i moved to Iowa my car has been acting up. First, it died on me and i found out that my HKS BOV was leaking boost and making the car run really rich so that it died everytime i stepped on the gas.

Next, i put on another aftermarket BOV and my car would only boost to 10 psi, slowly, and hold there. So, i found my stock BOV and put that back on tonight. My car feels really slow, not responsive, and also surges during WOT. Boost climbs slowly to about 13psi. WIth my cobb map i should be boosting to about 16psi. Also, the entire time i am on the throttle, my car is making a loud wooooshing noise that seems to be coming from the drivers side. Also, my egts have been lower than normal and i used a 1/4 tank of gas in 40 miles.

I need help, how can I fix this?

Until about 3 days ago my car was running fine and boosting up to 16psi. All this started happening when my HKS BOV broke.

thanks for the help!

You took of the TMIC to put the stock BOV on? Are you sure sure sure sure that all the clamps are tight on the samcos including the BOV dump hose? Throttle body clamps are tight?

Yes, we just put on the BOV dump hose today and when we put the IC back on we made sure all the hoses were on tight. Even after all of this boost is still leaking out.

Cliff notes:
HKS BOV leaked, car ran rich and died when clutch was pushed in
Installed other aftermarket BOV, boost still leaked, car would only reach 10psi, but was running leaner and didnt die
Took off top mount, installed samco bov dump hose, checked all hoses, put stock top mount back on and installed stock BOV, car now boosts to 13psi and you can hear the boost whiz out when you step on it.

Maybe an uppipe leak?

You would see a loss of boost with an uppipe leak.

it would also be loud as hell and not a constant 'pfffffft' sound when she gets on it. I talked with her last night about this issue.

Thats the only thing that steered me away from this problem. However, I told her to check the manifold anyway.

I suspect there is a crack in a hose somewhere or leak that is only exposing itself under boost.

i dont think i have a boost leak but i seriously think there is something wrong with my HKS SSQV bov. It just sounds like its not releasing any air.

Not true....I have a small uppipe leak right now...and it's a constant pfffft when I'm boosting (I've lost a slight amount of boost because of this). You might want to check your uppipe gasket(s)...my gasket at the header side was cracked and a new one fixed it.
