Question head light click

Just bought my first subaru on Sunday. 05 WRX Wagon. Love the car so far, cant wait to drive it in the morning. Just today I noticed that when i switch the headlights on, i hear a click that sounds like its being amplified through the speakers. Off, on, off, on... they still make the click sound. This is not the normal barely audible click that the relay makes. Anybody ever notice something like that. I dont remember if it did that the first time i turned the lights on.

Ooops, wrong forum It happens....don't worry. The noise you hear is the headlight solenoid inside your glove box. Subarus are famous for the "click when the lights come on" that you are talking about. Some report it gets telegraphed into the speakers or some claim it's an acoustic ear trick. No need to worry.

Cool, I knew somebody here would have an explanation. It does sound likes its comming from the glove box. I just thought only the right front speaker was picking it up. Thanks for the post.
