97JT Scooby Newbie Member#: 72712 Join Date: Oct 2004	What Should I Do? I have a 97 Legacy GT with about 140,000 miles on the 2.5L engine and am wondering about maintence. I have done regular oil changes and have never had any problems. I had the timming belt done along with cam seals at about 95,000 miles. So now I am having overheating problems and assume it is head gaskets, but have not had it diagnosed by a dealer. I am going to bring my car into a dealer were I have never been and do not want to get ripped off. How much should head gaskets cost to get done along with timming belt and water pump, and is there over lap on the head gaskets and water pump? I want to keep my Legacy I am the first owner and it has been very good to me. It is time to give her some T.L.C and I do not want to cut any corners. P.S: when is a timming belt due on a 2.5L engine in a 97 GT Thanks. * Registered users of the site do not see these ads.
