Default Check engine light on and cruise control light flashing

[b]While driving home the other night i was in 6th gear and hit the gas fairley hard to pass some idiot... The car hesitated a bit and then the Check Engine Light came on and the cruise control light was flashing. I have a TXS turbo back exhaust and with a stage two map in the utec. I restarted the car in the stock map and the Lights are still on. Car doesn't seem to drive any differently now, but i am still a bit worried. any ideas?

or more simply:

-you got boost creep
-you then hit fuel cut
-the cruise control light blinks when the CEL comes on (it's normal)

You need to think about a solution to prevent boost creep.

boost creep/ boost cut. It's a hard jolt and it sucks, I hate that feeling.

The lights shouldn't still be on. Un hook the battery for a couple minutes. That should clear things up. You can still run your stage 2 map. You just need to be careful running at higher speeds 5th and 6th gear in cold weather until you find a fix.

Your choices are to get your waste gate ported on your turbo
or
Run a more restrictive exhaust system. With more restriction from either the muffler or a cat section, usually reduces or gets rid of boost creep.

You may want to put your stock muffler section back on your STi. If your running the Turboxs system you should be able to do that easily.
Also are your running catless? If you are you should get Turboxs's high flow cat mid pipe. That will also reduce boost creep.

I run PDE's catted downpipe and get no boost creep. I got bad boost creep with Godspeeds catless downpipe. So runnng a cat in the downpipe can make a big difference.

give your ECU time to learn the cold weather. This happened to me at wide open throttle on the first very cold day in Canada. After a week of even colder air and WOT I have no nore engine cut off. I have a Full TBE with no engine management or modified turbo wastegate.
