Thumbs up

I'll be there. I just hope my skidplate comes in before the rally. The roads on this rally are pretty rough from what I remember last time.

I'm there! As a worker this time around though, me and the WRX aren't quite ready for the big rally yet.

Question First time going

Hey, this is my first time I'll be going to this rally, or any as a matter of fact (as a spectator). What do I need to know? Where are some good spots to hang out and see some good action? Any good places to stay that might not already be booked? Is there spectator parking anywhere near the stages? I could ask questions all day long. Maybe someone can point me in some direction. I already checked out their website which barely even mentions spectators. I appreciate any info/advice- thanks!

Hey Joe, If you moon us, make sure it's from the front so the video camera catches it. I'll post an MPEG here.

Would that be Full Moon racing? Thank you for not demonstrating that to us at Cherokee Trails, we were the crew for the Celica Altrac next to you guys. Thanks for the help there too.

Also did everyone see the announcement at specialstage.com about the overbooking:

As most of you are aware, we are over our cutoff number of 120 and all I ask for, in the next few days, is the patience of everyone who has entered. We will be making an announcement on Monday, after the seeded draw to be held this weekend, to let folks know how the extra entries will be handled.
Thank you,

Default Maine Forest spectating

Stevie,
I'd really suggest you sign up to work this event. It's a little tough to spectate unless you can hook up with some others who have done it before. A lot of the roads are gated and you can't get into them until the stage is set up.
However, the first stages they run are usually just up the road from the hotel, a very short walk and you'll be at a nice S turn that's pretty decent. It's just past the little bridge.
I haven't been to that one for a couple years so I'm sorry I can't help much more than that.

Looks like they made the cut at 120 teams. 12 more on "reserve". Only 4 ClubRally teams made it in. Looks like Lee (Flashboy) and Eric (SkToBe) didn't make the cut. Sorry guys!

Over 20 teams are SOL, bummer. The east coast needs some more club rallys. STPR is out and Maine will probably be all Pro next year too.

You guys should really consider in attending and competing at the Canadian rallies...

We never have over 70 competitors and there's 5 rallies within close proximity of eastern USA...
