It's a three wire sensor behind the alternator with a grey plug. You can see it without taking the alternator off, but you have to remove the alt. if you want to replace it.

I can tell you where I put mine, but I really don't recommend it. I put mine in the heater hose that runs from the firewall to the block on the driver side of the car. This probably isn't the best place for it b/c the coolant isn't as hot there, but it was about the easiest.

Some people stick them in the top radiator hose, but I also heard leaking is more of a factor there. You'd probably have to cut a section of hose out and have some metal pipe to bridge the gap.....and thread the sensor in the pipe.

There may be more options, but that's about all I can think of at the moment.

I replaced my radiator with a speedmonkee all aluminum race unit, perrin hoses, and crucial racing thermostat. When I did this, I purchased a weld in 1/8" NPT bung from Jegs and had it welded in at a local radiator shop. Works perfectly. Make sure that whenever you go to a radiator shop, you have them tig weld anything into a radiator, never let them braze it in....welds are just more reliable.

Good Luck
