Cobb AP - economy map

For those who are using the economy map, is it noticeably improving the fuel economy? how much of an improvement is expected with use of this map?

I thought cobb canceled their economy map because they had reliability issuse with it ?

still available for download on their site and ships with accessports...so i'd say not.

heh, i got the AP cuz i thot i'd save money by using the economy map.

but once i went stage 2 a week later... forget about economy.

i value the fun over the money i'd "save".

i'm still getting ~20mpg (shifting excessively and revving at everything in sight

)

It doesn't work. I ran it for few weeks and found it to be utterly worthless on my old WRX. Pretty much same gas mileage, and crappy performance. This was with 90% city driving.

I had the opposite experience as you Sergi. I found I got about 2-3 mpg higher with the economy map.

p.s. Stop reminiscing about your old WRX.

The economy map dosn't help my milage in city driving either,

but i gained 2 Mi/Gal. on the highway

But it does say not to use economy map for spirrited driving .

If you take it easy on the car, I think you'd see more benefit than running the economy map. Just drive like a grandma.....

I got 28mile to the gallon on the hwy with the economy setting.

I'll have to try it sometime - best HiWy MPG I ever get is around 24. But then, I tend to drive 70-80 all the time... Brief bursts upwards of that...

yeah even the stage 2 map can be good when you take it easy.

last weekend I drove up to go skiing, which was 5000 ft up and down (not very steep) for about 200 miles of the tank and the last 130 miles was mixed, some sprited, I got 24.5 mpg!!!

I guess I could try econ, but unless I am like 5 mpg better I don't think it is worth haveing no power.

You can defiantly feel the difference when driving the Econ map.

I did not notice that much difference in mpg either, but the TPS values are changed on the map. So when you floor it the car is now slower than it was before stock
