Default Unable to change Maps with AP

2005 STi w/ turboback - it was flashed by the dealer to Stg1 base map, and after finally receiving my downpipe I am attempting to flash to Stg2 realtime - however I cannot change the realtime map whatsoever.

I've attempted to change the base map to Stg 2, however the AP tells me to turn the car off completely and to turn it back on. Turning it back to the on position and pressing Okay simply does the same thing - turning it back on and actually starting the car then pressing Okay kills the fuel and the car dies. It then takes a bit of turning it over to build up fuel pressure.

Anyhow, has anyone ever heard of this happening?

If you change the base map, you gotta connect the green connectors under the steering wheel. Once you connect those greens, turn the key on. Connect the AP with the OBD II port, and select base map. Turn all accessories off(interior/exterior light, radio), and select change base map. Once your base map has been flashed, take the AP out of the port and disconnect the green connectors. After that, change your realtime map to stage 2. That should be it.

well it's currently going through the base map reprogramming...the weird thing is that I could never get it to change the realtime maps at all - hopefully this will allow me to do it since I popped a P0244 code a few days ago (the day the downpipe was installed) and I want to see if I can run without the LWG mapping...

After further review of the instructions, it seems as though the "Show Current Map" option doesn't actually show the Real Time map, it only shows the Base Map - which is kind of annoying, but oh well.

Time to go try it with the Stage 2 mapping - thank you sirs

Always change your base map when changing stages..You cant run a stage 2 real time on top of a stage 1 base...

You probably know this by now.

Actually I was in on Wednesday morning getting the DP put on - Neil asked why I didn't have them flash it, and then tried to sell me some more stuff

It was fun tonight - DEFINITE difference between 1 and 2. I can't wait to hit up MSR next week to finally push the car to its handling limits.

No more power mods for me At least for a year or two
