BOV cleaning???

I am about to perform the 1000mile service on my worx bov, i bought some engine assembly lube, but i am still unclear about how to service it, like i know i have to wipe out all the previous lube before i apply the new stuff, but what specifically do i lubricate and clean? do i have to pull the piston out of the bore or what??? i have not really gotten any clear answers on this so speaking lamens terms would be greatly appreciated thanks

Just clean it any way you want. I cleaned mine in the sink with dish degergent, that did a perfect job. After it dried I oiled it with Miltec-1 oil, now it works better then when it was new. If someone says don't do that they are crazy, mine works and has been for years.

Yeah you just want to disassemble the BOV and clean out any dirt and grime that has collected witha mild detergent, then just re-grease the piston and bore and you should be good to go!
